Why do people stack trades like this, if you want to risk 50% of your account, why not just enter the exact position size on one trade?

I dont understand this if you want to buy 1.0 lots, why enter 0.01 10 times???
Entering these positions in bits helps curb massive losses. So if you enter 50 lots first, you can enter a 10 lots next if the 10 lots drawsdown the profits on the 50lots will cover.. and so on.
